The Miami Music Festival presents “Die Zauberflöte” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This fantastical opera tells the story of Prince Tamino, who embarks on a quest to rescue Pamina, the daughter of the Queen of the Night, from the sorcerer Sarastro. Armed with a magic flute and accompanied by the bird-catcher Papageno, Tamino faces various trials that test his courage and virtue. Along the way, he discovers that Sarastro is not evil but rather a wise leader protecting Pamina from her mother and her malevolent ladies. With the help of the magic flute and Papageno's glockenspiel, Tamino and Pamina overcome the Queen’s dark schemes. The opera celebrates the triumph of wisdom and love, concluding with the union of the couples and the victory of light over darkness. The performance will be sung in German with English dialogue (English and Spanish supertitles available).
Ms. Coverini will be performing the role of Die Erste Dame (The First Lady).
This performance will be at the Temple Emanu-El in their upstairs ballroom | Miami Beach, FL
