When Shreveport scion Boudreaux Donaudy dies, he leaves everything to St. John Berchman’s, and the family isn’t too happy about that. Young Remy Joe knows just what to do—he calls in his sweetheart Loretta’s daddy, a slick country lawyer from out the bayou. The snobby Donaudys think the Schicchis are trash, but they change their tune when Johnny comes up with a plan to save the family fortune. Question is, will Johnny help the Donaudys, or will he just help himself? Puccini’s only comedy is a laugh-filled gem, and you’ll swoon for the big tune, “O mio babbino caro.”
Coverini will be performing the role of Loretta, also known as Lauretta.
Tickets start at $15 and can be found at https://spotlightonopera.com/tickets or get them at the door
