As part of the Peabody Institute’s esteemed Opera Études class, Coverini will be premiering a new work by Jaze Matteo-Wharton titled Potatoes alongside tenor Jietong Fu and soprano Erica D’Ancona. This chamber opera is comprised of three scenes following the story of a woman named Lidia who has become sick and tired of her housewife life comprised of cleaning, taking care of the baby and cooking potatoes every night. Lidia longs for a more free and fulfilling life like the one she used to dream of in her youth.

Coverini will be playing the lead role of Lidia.

The performance will take place on Tuesday, December 6th at the Peabody Institute room 206C (Baltimore, MD).
